Danley took charge of the evening' service with the show ingot film. Next Sunday, June 2, Rev, V. A. McManus, associational missionary, will be preacing in the morning and evening services. Fifteen members re sponded to the roll call. The meet ing opened with The Church In The Wildwood' after which Mrs. Gordon Miller gave the devotional. Mrs. James Miller gave a report on the organization of a 4-H com munity club in Beulaville. All the High School age people in the sur rounding communities are urged to come to these meetings. Food preservation, arts and crafts, and publicity reports were discus- sed by the group. A special report on Family Life was given by Mrs. Ashe Miller. Mrs. C. L. Sloan, County Coun cil chairman was a special guest. The demonstration, 'Accessories For The Home' was given by Mrs. Kor- negay, the Home Demonstration agent. The President, Mrs. Andrew Ma ler led the Club Collect after which refreshments were served. Mrs. Walter Rhodes, a meber of the Cabin Home Demonstration club will display some of her art work at the June meeting. Announce Birth Mr. and Mrs. Lester Houston an nounce the birth of a son, Billy Wel lington, 7 pounds and 11 ounces, May 20th in Parrott Memorial Hos pital in Kinston. Announce Birth Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Earl Phillips announce the birth of a daughter, Kimberly Earl, born May 23 at 3:50. She weighed 6 pounds and 9 1-4 oun ces. Mrs. Phillips is the former Shelby Williams of Beulaville. Going-Away Party Held For Four Dolores Raup, Mavis Miller, Elaine Kennedy, and Roslyn Trott were guests, of honor at a going away party held at the home of Mrs. Herman Gore. The hostess's, Mrs. Herman Gore and Mrs. Andrew Jackson, served cake, punch, pea nuts, mints, and potato chips. Indoor games were played, and the guests of honor were presented with gifts from the group. Guests attending were: Dorothy Humphrey, Sue Johnson, Dolores Raup, Janice Smith, Leta Warren Grady, Barbara Raup, Mona Jean Brinson, Mevis Miller, Martha Ann Brown, Willie Owen Guy, Roslyn Trott, Norma Ann Exiiiii, Elaine Kennedy, Katie Grey Miller, .Ann Thomas, Maud MUler, Judy Thomas. The bas que lace waist had cap sleeves and a Sabrina neckline edged with scal loped lace embroidered with white beads. Lace bands encircled the bouffant skirt that flowed into a chaple . length in back. She wore matching lace mitts. Her veil of im ported silk illusion was attached to a pill box of lace edged with pleated tuUe and trimmed with seed pearls. She carried a white Bible topped . with a white orchid and cascaded with feathered carnations and ribbons. Miss Nancy Ann Miller was maid of honor for her sister. Her gown was a street-length dress of blue Crystal-Ace and she carried an old fashioned nosegay of pink and white carnations centered with pink roses and streamers of pink ribbons Bridesmaids were Miss Geraldine Miller, sister of the bride, Mrs. Guy Miller,, sister in law of the bride, and Miss Reba Pickett, aU ot Beu- laviUe, and Mrs. George Cauley, sister of the bridegroom of Seven Springs. Junior bridesmaid "was Miss Dawn Cauley, niece of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids wore pink dresses of crystal-ace identical to the maid of honor and carried similar nosegays. Best man was James Albert Rouse of Kinston, cousin of the bride groom. Ushers were Guy V. Miller, bro ther of the bride and Linwood Earl Sumner, of Beulaville, Edwand Da vis of Seven Springs and B. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. MiUer wore a blue lace dress with white accessories and an orchid Sandy Plain Notes BT RALPH SUMNER Vacation Bible School Begins June 3rd. The Daily Vacation Bible School will begin at Sandy Plain Free Will Baptist Church on Monday June 3 at 8:30 each evening. We are having our school in the evening this year so that more ot our adults and working people may attend. There wUl be classes for all ages and we are planning to have plenty of classroom space. Many of our classes wiU be divid ed with plenty of teachers and as sistants for each group. The school will be under the di rection of Mrs. Claudie Sumner with Dr. J. J. Brooks teaching the adult class. Everyone is invited. Spring Revival Begins Monday, June 17th. The Spring Revival at Sandy Plain Free Will Baptist Church will begin on Monday June 17, 1957 with Rev. Rashie Kennedy as the evan gelist. Services each evening at 8 p.m. . Rev. Kennedy is a native of-this community being the son of Rev. R. C. Kennedy. He was Ucensed by the church on October 13, 1940 and he attended Free Will Baptist Bible CoUege in Nashville, Tenn. after graduating from Bible College he was caUed to a Goldsboro church as pastor. He served there several years .then he was called to the First Free WiU Baptist Church of Greenville. While pastoring this church he was instrumental in organizing sev eral missions. One of these-missions was organized into a church and they called Rev. Kennedy as pastor and has been very success ful in this outstanding church of the denomination. This church is the Grace Free WUl Baptist Church of GreenviUe. . , ' The music in the revival will be under the direction of Ralph Sum ner, the church choir leader. Dr. J. J. Upon their return, they will make their home in Kinston where the bride is employed by Dupont Com panies., The bridegroom is a grad uate of East Carolina College in GreenviUe and is now teaching in Chinquapin High School. The week end was fiUed with boating, swimming, and water skiing. Everyone had a very enjoyable time.
