They carried lace fans trimmed with blue net and white carnations. Honorary bridesmaids were Sue Nethercutt of Kinston, Delores Dix on of Wallace, Farrior Brinson of Raleigh and Jean Batts. Lunsford Creech of Smlthfield uncle of the bridegroom, served as best man. Ushers were Malcolm Rhodes of Richlands, Ramon Davis of Pikjsville, James Miller and Ce ell Smith of Beulaville. The brides mother wore a dress of blue lace with matching accessories and an orchid corsage. The bride groom's mother wore a dress of pink chiffon with matching accessories and an orchid corsage. After the couple received guests in the vestibule they left for a wed' ding trip to unannounced points. For traveling - the bride wore a black sheath dress of antique taffeta with matching cape and light blue accessories and the orchid lifted from her bouquet. The bride is a graduate of East Carolina College where she was member of Gamma Theta Upsilon Fraternity. The bridegroom attend ed Atlantic Christian College. Mr. and Mrs. Creech plan to live In Nashville, Tennessee, where he will attend National Auto Diesel College and she will teach in the Nashville School. The color motif of red and white was carried in arrangements of gla dioli. The serving table was covered with a white lace cloth and was centered with an arrangement of white gladioli. After the bridal couple had cut the first slice from a lovely four tiered wedding cake, topped with the traditional miniture bride and groom, Mrs. Velmon Benson, moth er of the bride served cake and at the opposite end of the table, Mrs. L. M. Sanderson, another of the groom served punch. Miss Edna Ray West assisted in serving mints and toasted nuts. Circle No. 2 met with Mrs. Oar lyle Powell with Mrs. David Cham bers as co-hostess and with 13 mem bers attending. Mrs. George Ben nett presided over the meeting Mrs. R.E.L. Whelese gave the de votional and Mrs. Allen Draughan, Sr., presented the program. The hostesses served ice cream, indi vidual cakes, nuts and mints at the conclusion of the program. Circle No. had nine members and met with Mrs. Macon Hollings worth with Mrs. David Carlton, chairman, presiding. Mrs. C. J. CAKE CUTTING After the rehearsal on Friday night, Mrs. Annie Alphin, grand mother of the bride elect and Mrs. Garland Alphin entertained the wedding party at a cake cutting in the recreation room of the church. After the bride and groom elect cut the first slice of the three-tiered cake, Mrs. Annie Alphin serv ed the cake and Mrs. Jeff Outlaw, mother of tha bride - elect poured the punah. Nuts and mints were served from the table covered with a linen cut-work cloth centered with an arrangement of white glads, feverfew aad fern with candles on each side. SHOWERS On Tuesday night, prior to the wedding, Mrs. Turman Alphin and Mrs. Willie Outlaw entertained at a miscellaneous shower at the home of Mrs. Alphin. The living roam was decorated with summer flowers. The dining table was covered with a white lin en cloth and centered with an ar rangement of white flowers. Mrs. Jeff Outlaw, mother of the bride elect poured the punch. Bridal mints and cakes and nuts were serv ed to about fifty guests. Miss Josephine Waters entertain ed at her home on Thursday night prior to the wedding at a glass shower. Miss Boyette, a rising senior at the Woman's College, will grad uate with the degree of Batehelor of Science in Secretarial Adminis tration in June of 1958. She grad uated from Warsaw High in May, 1954. Friendship News BY MRS. J. C. PRIDGEN, JR. Mrs. Sudie Langston is confined to her home because of illness. Visitors in the J. C. Pridgen home on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pridgen and children of Fayette ville and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Prid gen and children of Greenville. Mrs. Henry Jones has returned home after being a patient in a Goldsboro hospital. Mrs. Nelson Outlaw was honored by her husband at a surprise birth day dinner at her home on Sun day. A delicious barbecue dinner was enjoyed by 30 friends and rela tives. FRIENDLY HOME DEMONSTRATION CLUB MEETS The Friendly Club held its regu lar meeting in the home of Mrs. Lott Kornegay on Friday July 5th. The meeting was opened by singing Dixie. The roll call showed sev eral members present for a good at tendance. Mrs. Alta Kornegay gave a very interesting demonstration on 'Does Home Sewing save you Mon ey?'
