V Mr.- and Mrs. Leo Jackson were
hosts at supper to the-Explorer
Scouts on Friady night. Supper was
at Roscoe. Jones' Cafe. Among the
Explorers i present were Jimmy
Jackson, Shannon Brown, Tommy
Hubbard, Ben. Williamson, and
John Allen Potter. Lee McGregor
and Jesse Hall, advisors to the Ex
plorers were also present.
, , Features at the supper was Lewis
Powell, Eagle Scout of Wallace,
Who showed slide pictures of his
visits throughout Europe last year
during International Scout Jam
boree. He went with agroup of
Eagle Scout from through the Uni
ted States. Also present at the sup
per was Walter Culbreth, field ex
ecutive from Clinton who showed
pictures of Explorer activities.
. Kenansville has a very fine group
of Explorers as well as all ranks in
Boy Scout work. They are with
their advisors and scout master
John Hall are doing a very fine Job
and deserve the thanks of all the
people In Kenansville. And, we
might add here that the Scout Hut,
made possible through thegene
rosity of Vance Gavin and others
who donated, has generated a grea
ter Scouting spirit among our boys.

riage Sunday, January 12th inthe
Kenansville Methodist Church. The
Reverend Lauren Sharpe, paster of
the local Baptist Church officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.

over satin. Her fingertip veil was
attached to a coronet of lace out
lined with pearls and sequins. She
carried a prayer book with a white
orchid.
Miss Sarah Brown of Kenansville,
maid of honor wore a waltz length
gown of cardinal red crystaleth and
matching crystalette bandeaux
with shoulder length veil. She car
ried a white prayer book and tur
qua carnations.
