The effect of these weather cond itions upon the tobacco crop in our section have been as followe: 1. An ample supply of string 10 days to two weeks late compare with last year's , crop However, since the crop has been transplant ed into the fields the growing con dl:ions have been good and the young plants have grown very ra pidly. This has tended to offset some of the lateness In the development of the crop. It is, in my opinion, only about one week later than last y ar's crop, at this time. 4. With favorable weather cond htalthy plants and a minimum of! itions from now on, the prospects disease, both in the plant beds and in the fields, have provided nearly perfect stands of tobacco in moat of the fields 2. The crop in this section is un iform, healthy and has good color and appearance. The young plants have developed an excellent root system and are now begianig to take o a nice spread. iy ' 3. At the time of our last report, the crop In this section was about 'o privacy, T Wtt x "TV V J . " Y':, ,s t, jf- .r1" -..1 I W ' ' ' ' MEMBER F-D-I.C!'
