Stream flow in the eastern Pi edmont and Coastal Plain was a bout twice the median for the month, with major rises occur ing during the second and third weeks, according to the report, which is based on information from the U. S. Geological Survey. U. S. Weather Bureau records show that total precipitation for the month in the eastern Pied mont and Coastal Plain aver aged about 6 inches. The one exception was in the extreme so utheastern Coastal Plain, where the average was about 3.25 inc hes. High Rock, Narrows, and Bri dgewater reservoirs showed gainii and at the end of the month stood at 96.7 of capacity, compared with 99.'J a year ago.
