Wayne Rural Fire Department Sell Tickets To Aid Thirteen Wayne Rural Fire De partments have banned together and are selling tickets on a 1959 Ford to help raise money for the rural fire departments through out Wayne County. Seven Springs and New Hope Fire Departments are among those taking part in the program. The car will be given away on September 20, the last night of the Wayne County Agriculture Fair. Proceeds from the sale of -tic kets on the car will go toward helping finance the rural fire de partments and the upkeep of equipment. Saturday in a two car collision at (Little illiltimore, two miles east of LaGrange oh highway 70. They included Editor Henry Belk of the Goldsboro News-Argus, and Mrs. Belk, -who were enroute home after attending a iwedding In Kinston. Three of the injuried were hos pitalized. Admitted for treatment at Wayne Memorial Hospital were Mrs. Seth B. Hollowell, wife of the driver of the Goldsboro vehiile. and Mrs. Hershel Hockett, another passenger in the car. They both sustianed chest - and body injuries which were not believed serious. Transferred to Lenoir Memorial Hospital for treatment was Coy Flemming, Negro, 49, of LaGrange Route 3. A passenger in the second car driven by Roy Powell, Negro of LaGrange Route 3. Flemming sustained as injured back. Mr. aiid Ms. IBelk sustained slight abrasions and bruises.
