The regular routine of business was dispensed with, which was fol lowed by a gift exchange. Refresh ments were served. The attendance was very good. The president, Mrs. Nora Stroud presided. Home Dem Club Met Mrs. Haywood Stroud was hostess to the Pink Hill Home Demonstra tion Club at tier home near Pink Hill Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Amos Howard, president, presided. Pro ject leaders gave a report and Mrs. Stroud gave the demonstration on Christmas Treat Members exchan ged gifts and , refreshments were served. Announce Birth Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lee Tur ner, Jr., Albertson, Rt 1 announce the birth of a 7 pounds, 8 and one half oz. son, Raymond Lee, III at Duplin General Hospital in Kenans ville. Thursday. November 26. Mrs. Turner is the former Maxine Ne- thercutt of Beulaville. B. F. Grady Home Ec. Mrs. Dempsey Smith and Mrs. Lehman Williams were joint hos tesses to the. B. F. Grady Home Economics Club, Friday evening, December 4 at 7:00 at the Williams home. Mrs. Faison Turner, club presi dent, called the meeting to order. Mrs. Larry Stewart gave the devo tional. Mrs. Willard Westbrook and Mrs. Stacy Chestnutt presented the leader's program. Mrs. John Ivey Smith gave a de monstration on "Christmas Meals and Snacks." During the social hour the group exchanged gifts and drew names for a 'Club Sister' for the coming year. The identity of "Club Sisters" will remain a secret until next Christ mas. The hostesses served marshmal Iow salad on lettuce with coffee and crackers to the 22 members present. Mrs. Woriey Entertains Club Mrs. J. M. Jones received a com pote, holding a Christmas arrange ment as high score prize when Mrs. J. A. Woriey entertained her club at her home in Pink Hill Wednesday afternoon. The second high award, a box of Christmas wrapping paper went to Mrs. D. W. Ruffin. Otheis making up two tables were Mrs. T. A. Turner, Mrs. Lynwood Turner, Mrs. A. P. Tyndall, Mrs. Earl Smith Mrs. Floyd Heath and the hostess. Delicious apple jacks, with whip ped cream and coffee were served. Masons Entertain Ladies Masons of the Pleasant Hill Lodge celebrated Ladies Night at a ban quet held at Kings, in Kinston at 7:00 Saturday night. Mr. Charlie McCullers, of the Kinston Chamber of Commerce, was guest speaker. He dwelt, mostly on what Masonry meant to members, their wives and the community, as a whole. His talk4 full of humor, was interesting and informative, and delighted the audience. A turkey supper, witli all the trimmings, was served to approximately 200 members and th eir ladies attending.
