Acapulco Mexico Bound - Mr .and Mrs. Bob Hollingsworth depart
by air for their honeymoon, after having married friday the 25th of
March in the First Presbyterian Church of San Antonia. Upon their
return to San Antonio they will reside in their new home at 2819 old
Moss Road. Mrs. Hollingsworth is the former Patricia Lundgren
Hensley. Hollingsworth is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Hollings
forth of Kenansville
Miss Millie C. Burch of Kansas City, Missouri whose engagement
is announced to John Frederick Mehnert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred G.
Mehnert of Kansas City, Missouri, by her parents, Mr .and Mrs. Irvin
C. Burch of Kenansville. The wedding will take place June 25 in the
Kenansville Baptist Church.

hway. Four visitors were also pre
sent. Namely Mesdames Arlene
West, Kate Quinn, Florence Regi
ster and Macon Brown. The presi
dent, Mrs. Alda N. Brown presided.
After the opening song, the hos
tess conducted the Devotional read
ing from Phillipians Chapter 4,
verses 15-23, stressing "Our Duties
as Christians to Those in Need."
Club members were reminded of
the iDstrict Meeting at Salem Cru
rch near Fayetteville on March 31st
also of the Dress Revue to be held
in May.

ansville on Sunday, May 1st, in a

ton, work is now underway here for
the 20th season opening of Paul
Green's symphonic drama The Lost
Colony. The show this year will be
gin on June 25 and be presented
nightly, except Mondays, through
September 4.
One of the major jebs to be ac
complished prior to the early June
rehearsals of The Lost Colony this
year is tt repair Waterside Theatre
at Fort Raleigh National Historic
site on Roanoke Island .here the
drama is presented ea;'h summer
on the exact historical locations of
many scenes from the show. This
reconstruction work is under the
direction of Albert Q. Bell of Man
teo who was the builder of the
theatre in 1937 when the drama was
first presented.
First auditions for Lost Colony ac
tors to be in the cast this year were
in Chapel Hill last Saturday (3-26-
60) with Director ( lifton Bntton,
Music Director George Troutwein
and Choreographer present to as
sist General Manager Dorton. The
Chapel Hill trvouls were held in the
Playmakers Forest Theatre of the
University of North Carolina.
Dorton has planned one of the
most intensive promotional pro
grams in The Lost Colony's history
prior to opening of the show this
year, in June. The new manager of
the Paul Green drama is a native
Shelby, N. C. his previous show bus
iness and promotional experience
has included management of Sou
thern States Fair in Charlotte for
several years and managing direc
tor of the Brevard Music Festival
in western North Carolina last year.
His father Dr. J. S. Dorton has been
general manager of The N. C. State

The devotional and program was
presented by Mrs. Ruth Quinn with
the assistance of Mrs. Jane Fields,
Mrs. Gladys Nethercutt, Mrs. Celia
Dail and Mrs. Hazel Scott. The sub
ject of the program was: Concern
ing the Stewardship of the Church.
Refreshments were served by
Mrs. Jane Fields.
The April meeting will be held
Monday night after the second Sun
day at the church.
