Leak-Phillips Speak Vows In Warsaw Miss Betty George Phillips be came the bride of Frank Walter Leak on Saturday evening July 23 at seven o'clock m the Warsaw Bap tist Church with the Reverend Del mar E. Parkerson officiating in the double-ring ceremony. Mrs. William James Middleton, Jr., of Warsaw, was organist. Solo ists were Mrs. Tommie Phillips, the brides aunt, of Warsaw and Carlton Frederick of Goldsboro. The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Graham Albert Phillips, Sr. of Warsaw. Mr. Leak is the son of Mrs. Wililam Clay Leak, Sr. of Rockingham and the late Mr. Leak. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a princess-styled gown of pure silk peau de soie and imported chantilly hand - clipped lace of rose pattern, fashioned with scalloped portrait neckline of lace, embellished with tiny seed pearls and irridescent glass beads. Wide panels of lace and peau de soie ex tended into a long ehapel train. Her two-tiered finger-tipped veil of Fre nch illusion was attached to a Swe dish pearlized scalloped crown of matching lace. JAN BROWN Mrs. Kornegay Honored With Shower Mrs. Margarette Carr Kornegay, who was married last Saturday to Lee Kornegay, was honored at a shower on Thursday evening, given bjr Mrs.' Robert Lewis and Miss Ed na Ray West in the Lewis home, i Summer flowers predominated th roughout the living and dining rooms of the home. ; Mrs. Kornegay was presented with a corsage upon arrival end later in the evening with a variety of lovely and useful gifts. The thirty guests attending were invited into the dining room where the serving table was covered with a white cloth and was centered with an' arrangement of pink zinnias flanked on either side with burning tapers. Mrs. J. P. Johnson served punch at one end of the serving table, Miss West served individual cakes at the opposite end of the table. Mints and toasted nuts were also served. Mrs. Lewis and Mrs. West were assisted in serving by Miss Ella Mae West. Cheese biscuits, miniature chicken salad sandwiches, pecan rolls, toasted nuts, and soft drinks were served.
