The camp, for players grades 1-8, will run from 5-8 p.m. each night. Cost is $50 per camper which includes camp, pizza on Wednes day, insurance and T- shirt. The Panther Booster Basketball Camp is de signed to provide camp ers with a positive bas ketball experience, with an emphasis on teaching and developing basket ball skills and a love for the game, in a fun and competitive environ ment. A staff of high school coachesj as well as current and former players, will be on hand to help campers improve their game, while promot ing the principles of good character, teamwork, and sportsmanship. State and local law enforcement officers began the cam paign to increase seat belt enforcement activities on Monday and it will con tinue through June 6. “This life-saving cam paign reminds us to buckle up, every trip, every time,’’ said Conti. “Wearing a seat belt no matter where you are seated in a vehicle is the law in North Carolina, so I remind aU citizens to Click it or Ticket.” Regular seat belt use is the single most effective way to protect people and reduce fatalities in motor vehicle crashes. In 2009, 438 unbuckled motor ists died in North Caro lina. In 2009, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that North Carolina’s seat belt usage rate was . 89.5 percent. The state’s usage rate was 65 percent when the program start ed 17 years ago. “Click It or Ticket” is administered by the N.C. Governor’s Highway Safety Program.
