Hospice cookbooks Hospice of Davidson County will re lease a 25th anniversary cookbook with contributions from staff, volunteers and members of the community The 25th anniversary cookbook, titled “Recipes and Remembrances from the Heart,” wUl be avaUable mid-September. The hardback cookbook wUl feature a healthy choices section for diabetics and vegetarians in addition to traditional sub-categories. The cookbook wUl also feature a self-supporting bookstand. All profits from cookbook sales wUl benefit Hospice of Davidson County patients and their famUies. Area partners needed for senior food drive Comfort Keepers has kicked off a nationwide Serving Seniors, Nourish ing Lives initiative to coUect healthy food items for distribution to seniors in the community. About 30 mUlion older Americans live with chronic diseases that nutrition therapies can effectively manage and treat, so some simple di etary changes can make a big difference for seniors. Beginning in June and continuing through the summer months. Comfort Keepers is asking local businesses, or ganizations, churches-and community groups to partner with them to coUect food donations that have added nutri tional value for seniors.
