Seasonal flu vaccine
The Davidson County Health Depart
ment wUl be offering flu and pneu
monia vaccines this fall. The health
department will be following the guide
lines established by the Centers for Dis
ease Control for giving the flu vaccine,
which recommends providing the vac
cine to anyone age 6 months and older.
The following dates and clinic sites wUl
be available in Davidson County:
Davidson Coimty Health Department
—Lexington on Thursday, Oct. 7, from
1 to 6 p.m.
Davidson County Health Department
—ThomasvUle on Monday, Oct. 11, from
1 to 4:30 p.m.
Central United Methodist Church
— Denton on Thursday, Oct. 14, from 8
a.m. to noon.

A Christmas Carol auditions
NCShakes announces auditions for A
Christmas Carol. Equity, professional
and community actors - including chU-
dren and youth 8 years and older - are

1 p.m. to 5 p.m. For non-Equity actors,

Quilt exhibit
The BBQ QuUters GuUd is having
their first-ever quUt exhibit, named
QuUts Over Lexington, on Saturday,
Oct. 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It wUl be held
at the Nights of Columbus HaU at 711
South Main St., Lexington. The exhibit
wUl feature many quUts, wearables,
waU hangings and miniatures. There
wUl also be vendors, door prizes, a bou
tique, a sUent auction and a fat quarter
basket as weU as a beautiful donation
quUt made by members of the guUd.
There wUl be a $3 admissions fee.
