2 -Thomasville Times-Thursday, November 4,2010 The Davidson County Health Depart ment will be offering a flu clinic today from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at the health depart ment in Lexington. The health depart ment wUl be following the guidelines ■ established by the Centers for Disease Control for giving the flu vaccine, which recommends providing the vac cine to anyone age 6 months and older. To schedule an appointment, call (336) 236-3096. Walk-ins are welcome as well. Please wear clothing that makes it easy to get to the upper arm. Curb ser vice wUl be available for those people with disabilities. There wUl be a $22 charge for the flu vaccine or we will bUl Medicare/Med icaid for the vaccine. We wUl accept cash, check, and debit or credit cards for payment. In order to bfll Medicare/ Medicaid, patients must provide their Medicare/Medicaid card. Medicare re cipients must have both Medicare Part A and Part B in order for Medicare to pay. People with Medicare C must go to their primary physician in order for Medicare to pay for the vaccine or they can come to our clinic and pay for the vaccine out-of-pocket. Holiday craft fair Piedmont Crossing wUl hold its sec ond annual holiday craft fair today from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Local craftsman wUl display jewelry, hand-crafted soaps, wood carvings, flower arrangements, candles, quilts, jams, jellies and more. Parenting class Fairgrove Family Resource Center wUl offer a Systematic Training for Ef fective Parenting (STEP) class for chU- dren under 7 years old. Tree seedlings Davidson SoU and Water Conserva tion District Office is now taking orders for tree seedlings that will be delivered in January. White Pme, Loblolly and Longleaf Pme seedlings wUl be avaU- able at a cost of $5 for a bundle of 25. Black Walnut, WUlow Oak, Persimmon and Baldcypress seedlings wUl be sold for $1 per seedling. The pa rade wUl be held Saturday, Nov. 20, and wUl begin at 3 p.m.. Hope for the Holidays Hospice of the Piedmont’s Grief Counseling Center Is hosting a Hope for the Holidays workshop on Tuesday, Nov. 9, to help bereaved famUies prepare for the holidays' ahead. Discussion will touch on how to manage grief, care for yourself and remember loved ones dur ing the holidays. Hope for the Holidays finishes with an outdoor candle lighting and refreshments. School age children and teens participate hi their own Kids Path program during the workshop. Babysitting for pre-school children is provided upon prior request. The workshop runs from 6 to 8 p.m. in Hospice’s community conference room at 1801 Westchester Drive in High Point.
