Senior Center cookbook “Tasty Tradi
tions 11” is stUl available for purchase.
The Davidson County Department of
Senior Services collected recipes from
seniors and the community and com
piled them into an attractive cookbook,
which contains 546 delicious recipes
Including main dishes, appetizers, des
serts and many others.
Each recipe will featare the contrib
utor’s name so everyone can easily lo
cate the favorite recipes of their fam
ily and friends. The books are $10 each.
Both cash and checks are accepted. For
cash purchases, please have the correct
change. Proceeds will benefit the David
son County Senior Centers of Lexington
and ThomasviUe.

tree seedlings that wUl be delivered in
January. White Pine, LobloUy and Long-
leaf Pine seedlings wUl be avaUable
at a cost of $5 for a bundle of 25. Black
Walnut, WiUow Oak, Persimmon and
Baldcypress seedlings wUl be sold for $1
per seedling.

Relay For Life fundraising

hold its sixth annual Snacks with Santa
today from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the David
son County Fairgrounds. Snacks with
Santa allows families the opportunity to
have their child’s picture made with San
ta without the fee or the hassle of travel
ing outside of the county. Parents should
remember to bring their own cameras.

The Irish Tenors Christmas concert
with the Piedmont Wind Symphony

Luminary service
HoUy HUl Memorial Park wUl hold a
2010 Holiday Candleiight Luminary on
Saturday Dec. 11, with a rain date on
Sunday Dec. 12. Lighting begins at 4 p.m.’
The service is dedicated to the memory
of loved ones who have preceded us. For
a donation, a luminary wUl be placed
at the grave or entombment site of the
loved one. Those wishing to purchase
luminaries in the memory of someone
not at HoUy HUl can have the luminary
with that person’s name placed near the
entrance of the park. Maximum of five
luminaries per individual memorial.
