She spent the night with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jones. Mrs. C. D. Jones spent last Friday in Greensboro with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Sockwell. Mr. and Mrs T. R. Cox, -Mr. and Mrs. S. J„ Powers and Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Powers spent the week end in LUmberton visiting relatives. Mrs. Cox remained over for the week, with her mother, Mrs. Prit chard Powers. Misses Doris, Faye and Ollie Mae Crabtree spent last weekend in Harnett county with friends and relatives. Pfc. John P. Crabtree has re turned to camp in New Jersey prior to sailing for the ETO. He spent a 90-day furlough at home with his family and friends. A number of progressions were enjoyed, and after scores were counted, high score prize was awarded to Mrs. William Cates, and average prize to Mrs. H. S, Baucom. Seeman, of Durham were united in marriage at the First Presbyterian church of Durham on Saturday evening, April 27. The ceremony was per formed by the Rev. Kelsey Regen, pastor of the church and the Rev. Clarence Haden, Rector of St. Phil lips^ Episcopal church of Durham. Wedding music was rendered by W. P. Twaddell, organist. Hubbard, Charlotte and the late Mr. Hubbard. The wedding will take place in June, following Anne’s graduation from the University of North Carolina. Mr. Hubard has completed his junior year at Medical College of Virginia at Richmond. He was graduated from UNC clas of 1945 and is a member of the Alpha Kappa Kappa medical fraternity. Moses of Clays burg, Pa., were married at five o’clock Saturday, May 4, at the Episcopal Chapel of the Cross. Rev. George Henry, brother of the bride performed the ceremony. Monte Howell was the organist. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Nathaniel H. Hen ry. Mrs. George Henry and Mrs. Nathaniel Henry, sister-in-law of the bride, were brides maids. Miss Mary Henry of Greensboro, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. The bridegroom was attended by Edward Vandivere of Washington, best man. Capt. William B. Harding Jr., Washington, Paul Harvel, North Wilkesboro, George Homer and Dr. E. E. Encson were ushers. The bride wore white brocaded satin. A finger tip veil fell from a coronet of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of spring flowers. Her attendants wore three identical dresses of marquisette, With matching Juliet caps and carried spring flowers. The bride’s moth er wore a blue sheer short dress, with a blue flower hat, and Wore a corsage of yellow roses. Immediately after the wedding Mrs. K. G. K. Henry gave a recep tion at the Carolina Inn. The bride’s going away costume was a blue gabardine suit with black accessories. Dr. Henry is a graduate of St. Marys School, Raleigh. The Uni versity of North Carolinaxamd Wo man’s Medical College of Penn. She has practiced medicine for several years in Jamestown and Chapel Hill. The bridegroom who received his B. A. and M.
