September 2, 1946, offer for sale at public auction at the Court House
door in Hillsboro the land listed below, and which is described more
fully in the county tax scrolls, on which 1945 taxes have not been paid.
The sale in each case will be for the amount of the tax shown in this
Advertisement plus a penalty of 4 1-2 percent and an advertising and
sales cost of 75 cents. ~ - —

name—Marion’s. One other store,
Dell’s Jewel Box, will undergo a
change in name soon. The “Jewel
Box” part of the title will be re
tained, with White’s being substi
tuted for Dell’s—from the name
of its neW owner, James White,
formerly of Oxford and now of
the Village.
_CONFUSION must be the watch
word at the new dairy with two
George Clines working there. One
is George B. Cline, manager of the
plant; the other, George L. Cline,
veteran, who is now living with
his Belgium-born wife out on
Pittsboro Road.
