Atwater'Stone Vows Spoken On March 15 Miss Naomi Catherine Atwater, daughter of Mrs. Isa Atwater anc the late Thomas A. Atwater ol Chapel Hill, became the bride of Clinton Reed Stone, son of Mr and Mrs. Albert Stone of Martins ville, Va., on Saturday afternoon March 15, in a ceremony at the bride’s home near Chapel Hill. ' The Rev. O. L. Riggs of Durham a former pastor of the bride, offi ciated. Prior to the ceremony, Mrs Wade Atwater, sister-in-law of the bride, rendered a program of wed ding music and during the cere mony she played “Schubert’s Serenade.” The bride and bridegroom en tered the living room together. For her wedding, the bride chose s suit of gray gabardine with a sheer white blouse. Her shoulder cor sage was of gardenias. Her only ornament was an old gold brace let, which was a family heirloom. Following the cerfemony, the bride’s mother, entertained at a reception at the home. After the bridal couple cut the first slice of the wedding cake, Mrs. John H Cate, sister of the bride, presided. Miss Mildred Atwater and Mrs. J. H. Williams, sisters of the bride, served mints, nuts, and punch. After a short. Wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Stone will be at home at 302 Fifth street, Burlington. Mr. Stone served 33 months in the United States Army air corps. He spent 22 months in the Pacific theater of ..operations.
