Miss Patsy Ellis left Monday tc attend East Carolina Teachers college, Greenville, this year. She plans to major in home economics Buck Liner left Monday to en ter N. C. State college, Raleigh. Due to the absence of the Rev. J. B. Hurley Sunday at the regu lar third Sunday services the Rev. Duncan preached in the Cedar Grove Methodist church. Mr. Duncan is a student in the Duke School fo Divinity. He delivered a most inspiring message to the congregation. J. S. Compton and Ralph Cooper Compton, Mrs. Z. C. Burton and Mrs. Clair McDade attended the conference in Rocky Mount last Thursday. They attended as dele gates from the Cedar Grove Meth odist church. Mr and Mrs. Curtis Nickles vis ited Mrs. Iola Williams and Mrs. .Sallie Crisp in Durham Saturday.
