Government Is Of St. Mary’s Program On Thursday, February 17, at 2 ja. m., the St. Mary’s Home Dem onstration Club met with Mrs. Roberta Ferrell, with 21 members, one visitor, and the assistant home demonstration agent present. Two suggestions for the “Family Life Project" were a club recrea tion scrapbook and individual first aid kits. Each member was re quested to bring magazine clip pings for ideas for the scrapbook to the next regular meeting. The president, Mrs. Henry Walker, turned the meeting over to Miss Virginia Cathey for the demonstration, “Government." She introduced Mrs. J. E. Adams from Chapel Hill, who gave the club a quiz on “Orangfe County’s Government and Citienship." She also showed two interesting charts: “Estimated County Budget for ’48 and ’49” and “ThelDistributioh of Your $85 ror $100 of Property As sessed.” The recreation chairman, Mrs. Mildred Walker, called on various members for entertainment.
