Mrs. Carrie Lee Stainback of
University Drive entertained her
bridge club Thursday, July 14.
Refreshments were served to the
following members present: Mrs.

Mrs. Mamie Leonard, Mrs. Ella
Boone Dixon, Mrs. Pearl Perry,
Mrs. Earle Merritt and Mrs. Pearl
Basnight. Mrs. Leonard was high
scorer for the afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Herb Wentworth
and Mr. and Mrs. Richmond Sloan
returned Tuesday, after spending
several days at Ocean Drive, S. C.

Little Jimmy Perry, sob of Mr.
and Mrs. P. R. Perry Jr. of
Greensboro, visited his grand
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Perry
of Greensboro Highway and his
cousin, Ann Fogleman of Pritch
ard Avenue, the past week. His
parentis spent the week-end 'here
and Jimmy returned home with
them on . Sunday.

Chester C. Little, a major in
the Army Reserve Corps, has been
accepted for 30 days active duty
training with the Commanding
General, Ft. Bragg.

An informal buffet supper was
held by the Durham Kiwanis club
last Thursday night at the Mono
gram club here, with wives and
guests present. Following the
supper the group attended the
planetarium demonstration at the
