FFA WIN BANNER Members of the Hillsboro High School Chapter of-Future Farmers of America received the banner for accumulating the most points dur ing their stay at the FFA Camp at White Lake last week for the sec ond consecutive year. There were approximately 14 Hillsboro Agriculture, boys under the direction of E. R.- Dowdy, ag riculture teacher, attending camp. They participated in all phases of the planned program, carried on by a' well-trained staff, s'uc5~is softball, volleyball, watcrbail, horseshoes, ping-pong, quiz pro gram, ground and shuffteboard. Sixteen chapters from various counties over the state were rep resented at the camp during the week. . BUCKHORN GRANGE SUPPER On Saturday night, August 7, the Buckhorn Grange will sponsor an ice cream supper beginning at 5 o’clock. Sandwiches, pies and cake will also be served. WESLEYAN GUILD TO MEET The Wesleyan Service Guild of the Hillsboro Methodist Church will hold its regular monthly meet ing Monday night, August 9, al the-home of Mrs. Marshall Cates Jr. TOURING UNITED STATES G. Paul Carr Jr. and Max Ken nedy are touring the United States. They are headed for Cali .forma, taking the, northern joule there and coming back by the southern route. E BRADSHAW The July meeting of the Bethle hem Home Demonstration Club was held in the home of Mrs. R. E Bradshaw Wednesday, July 28. Demonstration for the meeting was on ‘‘Hard Floor Coverings and Their Care.’ Several book reports were giv en. Mrs. C. V. Bradshaw gave hints on poultry and several garden tips.
