CARRBORO Social And Personal The Carrboro Civic Cliib will hold it’s regular meeting for March next Wednesday at. three o’clock in the afternoon in the Club building near the Carroboro School. Mrs. Lucille Tilley will be in charge of the program and has arranged an interesting program on the culture oi flowers. SPARROW ENTERTAINS Mrs. Donald Sparrow entertain ed at her home on Oak Ave. in Carrboro last Friday evening hon oring Mrs. Marvm Morgan at a lovely miscellaneous shower. Upon her arrival the honoree was presented a corsage of pink carnations. The large number of guests present enjoyed interesting games and prizes were awarded after which the guest of honor op ened and displayed the many love ly and useful gifts showered upon her Af the M of the 'evening the hostess served delicious re freshments consistng of home made, fudge, nuts, opened faced assorted sandwiches and coffee. HOUSEWARMING HELD Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Hardee, who have recently purchased a new home on Goldston Ave. in Carr boro were honored op last Friday evening at a housewarming show er at their home. Hostesses for the occasion were Mrs. Morris Fu qua, Mrs. Rudy Thomas and Mrs. I. F. Hardee. Mr. and Mrs. Har dee received many lovely gifts for their new home from the large number of guests present for the courtesy. At the close of the eve ning homemade cake was served with coffee. PTA PANEL DISCUSSION An interesting study course and lanel 'discussion sponsored by the Carrboro P.T.A. was held Tuesday evening at the Carrbpro School. “The School Curriculum" was the topic for the course which wasled topic tor the course which was led by Mrs. J. Blaine, chairman of the study group of the Carr boro P.T.A' INJURED Miss Agnes Andrews, teacher in the Carrboro jlchool, has been *>. patient in the N C Memorial Hos pital since Thursday of last week. Miss Andrews is suffering from injuries suffered frbm a fall at her | home just before leaving for school. VISITORS Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Hardee and family who have for the past sev eral months been living in Lake City, Fla., visited relatives here last week and when the family left for Lake City last Sunday Mrs. Hardee's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Merritt, returned to the Flori da city with them for a visit. SHOWER HONOREE Mrs. J. B. Wilson of Carrboro was honored on last Friday eve ning at a miscellaneous showt r given at the Carrboro Civic Club with Mrs. William, Grice and Mrs.' Henry Wilson serving' as eo-bos teses for the occasion. Mrs. Rhy Smith of Mebane ied the group in interesting games. Other guests present from Mebane which is the former home of Mrs. Wilson in cluded Mrs. W. G. Smith, Mrs. Fred Wynn, Mrs. J. B.
