Fox . was the last navigator to guide a j scheduled route flight of the C-54 “Skymaster" transport across the overocean flight paths of the Pa ciiic Division, Military Air TrtBS port Service, and "his wife, the former Marie Russell, whose par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Russell, reside in Hillsboro and the Fox’s two-year-old daughter Angela E., were flying with him. The retiring four-engined work horses have been the mainstay air craft in the Pacific Division, MATS, 1 organirafion -of; the Military Air Transport Service in 1048 * ■ J Stationed at Tokyo International Airport as check navigator for the 100th Air Transport Squadron. I,t. Fox and his family resided in Grant Heights near the island air drome which serves Japan’s eapi 'tal city. Lt. Fox was graduated from St. Augustine's College at Raleigh while Mrs. Fox, a registered nurse, took her cap at St. Agnes Nurses School in Raleigh. During Lt. Fox’s tour of duty in the Far East, Mrs. Fox performed nursing at Tokyo General Army Hospital. The Fox family is scheduled to report to West Palm Beach after their 30-day leave.
