W_personal - telephone 4191 11 I Circles Pay Farewell Courtesy To Mrs. Shue The three Circles of the Women of the Methodist Church honored Mrs Thomas Shue at a farewell Party last Wednesday afternoon rom 4 to 5:30 o’clock in the Tay- * lor Bivins home. Mrs. Shije was presented a cor-' sage on arrival. Guests were invited into the dining room where the table was covered with a lace table cloth and centered with air arrange ment of American Beauty Roses and gardenias. Other beautiful floral arrangements were placed throughout the housed The guest of honor was' present a book entitled; “Day by Day.” Mrs. Hi W: Moore' served pohnd cake and others assisting with the serving of homemade ice cream were: Mrs. yan-Kenion, Mrs. Biv ins, Mrs. Bob Forrest, Mrs. H. S. Bpucom and Mrs. Garland Miller. There were approximately 30 guests present. Mr. and Mrs. Shue are planning to move to Adel, Ga., around the first of July. -VISITING Mrs. W. M. Mitchell and daugh ter, porothy, left last Thursday for New Orleans, La. and from there will go to Houston and San Antonio, Texas to visit-with Mrs. Mitchell’s three daughters and| families. Miss- Rose mond was presented a corsage of white carnations upon arrival and members of the \rt«fiaing party pulled the charms from a minis-1 ture wedding cake. Miss Rosemond was presented , a gift of crystal by the hostess, j Mrs. Sam Gattis poured punch and Mrs. Jack Snipes, Mrs. Kay Winecoff and Mrs Doris Eskridge assisted in serving. A program of music was present ed by Mr. Bill Warren and Jim Rogers. ■_____^ Miss Rosemond’s gifts were dis played in the den. ' ..—. Wedding Breakfast ■ ' ' Mrs. W. M. Baldwin Jr., Mrs. Kenneth Rosemond and Mrs. Bob Rosemond entertained at a wedding breakfast Saturday morning at the Colonial Inn for Miss Rosemond and Dr/ Hunt. A color scheme of lavandcr and white was carried out with place cards and flower arrangements. The bride and groom's place ^ras marked by miniature bridal slippers. The bride-elect was pre sented a corsage of pink carna tions. There were 34 gc.qple attending, which included members of the party, relatives of „the immediate families and the folowing out-of town guests: Mrs. T. I. Bryant and daughter. Gloria of Atlanta, Ga.; Mrs. Louie R. Kefsh of Atlanta. Ga.. Mr. and Mrs. R. Leon Jen kins of Rocky Mount. Miss Rosemond and Dr Hunt were married -Saturday evening at 7:30 o’clock in the First Baptist Church of Hillsboro. Miss Rosemond Weds Air Force Dentist; Will Live In Alaska The F'irst Baptist Church here I was the scene of the wedding of Miss Mary Frances Rosemond and I}r Richard Frederick Hunt Jr., last Saturday. The Rev. A. K. Cheek, assisted by Dr. Charles E. Maddry, offici ated. Nuptial music was rendered by Mrs. Robert F Warren, organist, 1 and Jim Rogers of Tabor City, soloist. i The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown, with a sheer yoke, featuring a fitted bodite of French lace, bouffant tiered skirt of pleated tulle and lace extending -into a circular train. Her fingertip veil of silk illusion was attached to a hand made cap- of Belgium lace, which was brought from Belgium by the 1 Bridegroom’s mother. She carried a prayer book topped with white orchid and sprays of white ivey. Mrs. W- M.
