RAY Miss Hattye Limngtoa Ray, 81, a former resident of Raleigh, died ' at the home of a niece, Miss Evelyn Burke, is Hillsboro Sunday morn ing after an extended illness. Graveside services were conduct ed Tuesday morning in Oakwood Cemetery in • Raleigh by Dr. Charles Maddry. Miss Ray had been a resident of Hillsboro for the past four years. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. C. Maude Burke of Hillsboro, 12 nieces and* nephews and 16 great nieces and great-nephews. ' MRS. MARY E. COLLINS Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Rasberry Collins, 70, of West Hilisboco were conducted last Friday afternoon at the Church , of God in Hillsboro by the Rev. H. I. Hare, pastor, conducting. Burial was in the Hillsboro City Cemetery. Mrs. Collins died in Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill. She was 6orn in Fayetteville, a daughter of the late Warren Rasberry and Mrs.Alice,Hales Rasberry. She had been a resident of Hillsboro for the past 35 years, and was mar ried to Coy Clay Collins. Surviving are her husband; s;x daughters, Mrs. Bessie Albright. Mrs. Rose Lane, Mrs. Annie Mae Andrews, Mrs. Cathleen Young and Mfs. Nancy Phillips of Hillsboro and Mrs. Eunice Neal of Durham; five sons, Paul H. Collins and LeRoy Collins of Hillsboro, Dewey Collins of Tarboro and Arthur Collins and Raymond Collins of Durham; her mother, Mrs. Alice Hales Rasberry of Durham; four sisters, Mrs. Rose Talley; Mrs. Mable Oates of Baltimore, Md.; five brothers, Alec Rasberry, Rob ert Rasberry. Arch Rasberry, Rexi berry and Ervin Rasberry, all of Durham: 40 grandchildren; 24 ‘greatgrandchildren; and several pieces and nephews. WILLIAM FRANK MARTIN William Frank Martin, 57, na tive of Orange County, died last Thursday night at his home in Arl ington, Va. of a heart attack. He was the son of the latij J. My and Nanhie Garrard Martin. He was a former resident of Durham, but had resided in Arlington, Va., for the past 22 years. He was em ployed by the federal government. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jessie Ferrell Martin, formerly of Durham; one daughter, Barbara, of the home; a sister, Miss Annie Martin of Arlington; and four brothers, Jesse of Hillsboro, Charlie, Lambuth and Connie Martin, *11 of Durham. Funeral services were held in Arlington Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock. .Graveside services and burial were Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Ebenezer Baptist <3*irch in Orange County.
