HILLSBORO HAPPENINGS Social And Personal-Telephone 4191 Mrs. A. J. Snipes Jr. Hostess To Class At August Meeting The home of Mrs. A. J. Snipes. Jr., was the meeting place for the Hes ter Caldwell Sunday School class this month. The meeting was opened with prayer by Mrs. Bill Kennedy. In the absence of the class teacher the Bible Study. Revelations Chapters 12-14, was led by Mrs. Frank Ray and all present took part in the discussion. After the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting and roll call by the secretary there was a busi ness meeting. None of the members of the nom inating committee were present so there was no report for the new of ficers of the coming year. . During the business session the class supper which will be held- in October was discussed. The supper will be-on Friday night. Oct. ll. There will be more plans made on this, later. Arrangements are to be made-by Mrs. Frank Ray, games to be- arranged by Misses Betty June Hayes. Ruth Privette and Mrs. Bruce Cresson. The hostess served refreshments of pie' and coffee* to the following: Mesdames. Roland Scott, Dwight Walters. Frank Ray, Bill Kennedy. Nelson Arrington. Bruce Cresson and Miss Ruth Privette. Mrs. Cresson's sister was a guest of the class. Tlie September meeting will be with Mrs Nelson Arrington. \T BEACH Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. She is reported 1 to be "getting along nicely. Story Ot Bible In Korea Movie At Buckhorn I ....,,_J ~ “Mv Right Hand and My Cause”. I a sound motion picture in color, which tells a story of the Bible j in Korea, will be shown at the BUckhorn Grange on August 23, 1957 at 7:30. Everyone is cordial ly invited to attend. The picture presents a true dra ma of Rev. Young Bin 1m, Gen-; eral Secretary of the Korean Bible j Society and the almost miraculous1 preservation of a Korean Bible Manuscript. Mr. Im and his wife suffered much during the almost; nopeless months of the Korean War. The Bible House in Seoul was burned by the communists along with the entire stock of Scriptures and part of the precious manuscript. Mr. Im was forced to hide himself and the manu script many times fro mthe ene my. Finally he escaped to Japan where the 'Bible was printed. To day ]Jiis book is being distributed in Korea. The major part of»the film was taken in Korea and includes war scenes supplied by the Signal Corps The Korean musijs, used on tne sound track is played on authentic Korean instruments. FISH FRY The Methodist Youth Fellowship ol the Lebanon Methodist Church of near Mebane is spdnsoring a fish fry Saturday night from'6 to 8:30 o'clock Adults $100 and children 73 cents.
