A lovely wedding was celebrated
on Salurdey, August .1, at 4 p m. in
the South Hill Method Church

daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christo
pher Wilson Geogbegan of South
Hill. Va„ and William Polk Ches
hire, son of Mr. and Mrs. James
Webb Cheshire of "Over the River,”
Hillsboro, were married with the
Rev. A. Woodrow Laine officiating.
Lighted cathedral candles, ferns
end baskets of white flowers were
used in the decorations of the
church.
Mrs. S. T. Moore of South Hill,
at the console of the pipe organ,
played the traditional wedding music
and accompanied the soloist, George
Taylor of South Hill.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, wore a lovely gown of
poi de soi enhanced with a trim
ming of alencon lace embroidered
with seed pearls. The chapel train
had motifs of lace with pearl trims.
Her finger-tip veil fell from a
bandeu of lace and seed pearls.
She carried a cascade bouquet of
white brides roses centered with an
orchid.
Miss Frances Luctie Zollinger of
Bronxville, New York, cousin of
the bride, was maid of honor. She
wore a hycinath silk sheath dress

Mr. W. B Beck of Chase City,

ered hat was shades of rosey red
and she had a corsage of pink roes.
A reception followed the cere
mony at the bride’s home.
After a southern wedding trip
they will make their home in Rich
