j on flag etiquette. Each class has
had a unit on the correct use cf
the flag and proper respect' for
the National Anthem and every
child in school has learned the
pledge of allegiance to the flag
and the words to the ‘‘Star Spangl-,
ed Banner," according to Principal
Mildred Mooneyhan.
The American Legion presented (
the school with a flag yesterday
at 10 a.m. via a flag raising cere
mony in front of the building. Of
ficials from the local chapter cf
the Legion, two Marines from Our- j
ham, and the entire student body
took part in the exercise.
The principal accepted the flag
in behalf of the school! Fred Con
ner and Tim Merritt; sixth grade
students, were chosen fey their
classmates to raise and lower the
flag on the pole in front of the
building each school day during | j
the present term.

LOYALTY SUNDAY SET
More than 300 persons are ex
pected to participate in Loyalty
Sunday at the Church fo the Holy
Family this Sunday as the climax
of a two week long program in
which every family in the parish
has been visited by a trained lay
man. Dr. John Sowter of the Uni
versity Dental Schorl has directed
the training program for 35 lay
men of the Church.
Each member of the parish will
pledge anew his loyalty to his
Church during the services at 8,
