Future plans for the group were announced at its charter night banquet last ■’Friday Group Seven Commander Maj. R. B. The local commander said the rescue squad would be organized right away, as soon as a truck soon to be obtained, can be fixed up. The cadet program is to be set up by September for boys and girls between the ages of 14 and 21. In addition, Augustine an nounced, the squadron hopes to foster a greater interest in avia tion locally and to work toward improving the facilities at the Chapel Hill Airport. No public funds Though the Recreation Commis sion has been officially set up to administer the Town's recreaiiofi program for the last 20 years, no public funds are appropriated for this purpose. Superintendent Joseph M. Johnston* said an attendance of 3,630 is forecast when the fall term begins on Sept. 6. This would be 181 above the 3,449 who enrolled last fall. The Superintendent said it was possible that the- 10-class room addition being rushed to completion at the Glenwood Elementary School would be ready for the opening of the hew year.
