Many Orange County poukry

There are several ways in which

PREPARE FOR FALL
SEEDING OF PASTURE NOW
Prepare your seedbed for fall
seeding of pasture as soon you
can. A seedbed that has been
prepared and let settle or finned
by a good rain usually produces
a better' stand of grass and
clover.
The best date for leeding in
the Piedmont is between Aug.
25 and Sept. 1. Certified Potom
ac or Virginia grown orchard
grass at 4he rate of 10 to 12
lbs. per acre has been most pro
ductive in the experimental
plots.
If you plan to use tall fescue,
use certified-Kentucky 31 or Alta
at the rate of 8 to 10 lbs. per
acre. Both of these grasses should
be sows with certified West Coast
Indian clover at the cate of two
to four Has. per acre.
