Holland Robb, had this to say of the legislature’s Congres sional re-districting bill pit Republican Rep. Charlie Jonas against Demo Paul Kitchin: "1 know of no reason to complain about it. Mr. Jonas is a good man and he’ll be elected. A lot of peo ple are going to vote for him whether they’re Democrats or Re publicans.” THE CHAPEL HILL SCHOOL Board’s adopted policy on pupil assignment, as. noted in news story, this issue, will continue basically un-changed for the com ing school year. —Or will it? The question really remains to be an swered after the three new lib erally - oriented School Board members are sworn in next month. They may choose to change the policy, and if so, will likely carry their will with a ma jority of the Board members. PRICE OF WHITE LIQUOR IN Orange County, according to our saloon editor, has gone up from the old standby of $18 a case to $40 now—and it’s scarce at any price. The fee has been kited by the increasingly strict pressure of the County's ABC police. IT IS RELIABLY REPORTED that Durham-Chapel Hill civic leader-philanthropist Watts Hill Sr. has registered strong opposi tion to the proposed . sidewalk canopy in. letters to several per sons in Chapel Hill.
