on key streets Tuesday morning
and afternoon, found traffic mov
ing pretty close to the legal lim
its. On a 35-miles-per-hour limit
section of Strowd Hill (E. Frank
lin’ the early afternoon traffic
averaged 37 MPH. On Cameron
at Ransom the average was 23 4 in
a 25 MPH zone. On the Raleigh
Rd. hill, previously posted for
35 MPH, the average was 41.8. On
W. Rosemary at high noon me
average was-88 in a 25 MPH zone.
On Estes Drive the average was
31 in a 25 zone, and, in front of
Glen Lennox, 35 in a 35 zone.
More than 50 cars were clocked at
each location and all locations are
to be re-checked in the early
morning—-generally a worse time
for speeding.
