LOGSDON OF Chapel Hill leaves today on an unusual three - week round trip to Ankara, Turkey. Occasion will be the wedding there of the Logs dons’ son, Air Force Capt. Rog er Logsdon, to Cheryl Thomp son, daughter of aD Army coup le in Ankara. Capt. Logsdon, a career service man, has been in the Air Force since graduation from UNC in 1955. Mrs. Logsdon will be accompanied by her sis ter. On their return they’ll stop in Istanbul, Rome, Paris, Ams terdam, and London. RESIDENTS OF THE LAKE Forest subdivision east of Chap el Hill, many of* them plagued by ineffective septic tanks, are circulating a petition for annex ation to the town of'Chapel Hill.' It’s, understood that better than two-thirds of the residents fav or annexation. ~~ The proposal would involve a major expense in additional sewer lines for the town, if approved. W. E. CLARK JR. OF CHAPEL Hill has re-joined the Orange County Sheriff’s Department as a deputy, succeeding Billy Wright of Carrboro who recent ly resigned.
