District Scout dinner is set next Thursday Use annual dinner for the Orange Boy Scout District will be held at 6:30 next Thursday night in the Chapel Hill High ■' School Cafeteria. . • ' -Upwards of 300 parents of Scouts and Scouters are expect ed to attend the meeting, at which awards will be given and officers for the coming year in stalled. The affair is under the direction of Carlton Byrd, Dis trict Activities Chairman. The 12 Boy Scouts who have attained the Eagle rank in Or ange District during the past year will be recognized and giv en a letter of commendation from Gov. Sanford. Awards will be presented to the outstanding den mother, scoutmaster, and stouter. District executive Eddie Cothran will give a summary of scouting activity in the district during the past year. Master of Ceremonies for the occasion will be Dr. Rob ert Cadmus, District Chairman this year. He will be succeeded in office by W, N. TjASr, wbo lua been District and Chnftett ' Organi zation and Extension Chairman this year. Vice-Chairmen will be Orville Campbell, Carl Fisher, and Harry Waldo.
