Walker; 'most versatile member' By ANNE ANDERSON With the approach of the 19 •3 Red Cross caqppajyn, wi would like to salute our most versatile member and Vice-Chair man of the Hillsboro Chapter, Mrs. Jean M. Walker. In the nearly three years hi which she has served with the Hillsboro Chapter, she has done an untold amount of work ami has been a tremendous help in revitalizing the Chapter. Recent ly, she helped recruit nearly 70 "Volunteers?, for work during the summer in the V. A. Hospi tal in Durham. She has helped start the Junior Red Cross, and make the services of the "Crap Ladies" available to Rest Hemes in the area. She is now serving , on the Piedmont Executive Council of the Red Cross, which takes in eight counties. Red Crass work is not new to Walker; she also served with the Durham Chapter bp fore she moved to Hillsboro. She described vividly the many and moving experiences which she had while working in the Motor Peel division.
