A 37-YEAR-OLD BAKER HAS been bound over under $1,000 bond from Chapel Hill Record er's Court for trial on charges of felonious hit and run and larceny of a truck. Walter Dukes admitted 16 {police that he is the culprit who stole a John ston-Strowd-Ward Co. delivery truck late Monday afternoon, rammed it head-on into an MO on Sycamore St., and fled the scene. Jane Howard, driver of the MG, escaped serious injury, but her tiny car suffefed $450 worth of it, Dukes, arrested about four hours later, said he just “had a spell,” remembered hitting the other vehicle, but didn’t remember much else.
