Mrs. Flossie Henderson was on her job at the One-Hour Martin izing Cleaners when flames com pletely gutted her home at 322 Brooks St., destroying all their belongings and clothing. Fire men believe the blaze was acci dentally started by youngsters playing with matches. SEVERAL FIRES IN THE Chapel Hill area destroyed size-] able stands of timber and under brush this week, too. About 40 acres of open space was burned over in Strowd’s Lowgrounds off the Durham Road on Monday morning when a controlled fire for clearing the area got out of hand. That afternoon several more acres of underbrush in the woods below Hillcrest Circle was burned before firemen quelled the blaze with hydrant lines.
