But the private owners have made a formal request in writing for the Town to completely- take ov er the pool and its operation after this year. Such a move, it is known, would be quite in keeping with the original in tent of the donor of the three year-old pool, Miss Cornelia Love. The Town administration seems basically favorable to the idea. Harold Clark of Carrboro is to stand trial tomor row for reckless driving through the demonstrators’ parade last Saturday. And Robert V. N. J Brown will next Tuesday face assault charges brought by 'John Carswell in connection with Brown’s picketing at Carswell’s drugstore. TRAINING FOR "CIVIL Dis obedience” of * an un announced nature has begun in Chapel Hill, according to a press release from the Chapel Hill Committee for Open Business. The integration group says it also plans a “mas sive demonstration” of at least 600 persons downtown this Sat urday, as many as 1,000 in fu ture demonstrations; a canvass for 1,000 signers on a petition for a public accommodations law; and a close watch on the Board of Aldermen and its voting rec ord.
