Page 12 this section. i Orange Pealings TWO ORANGE COUNTY OF ficials attending state association meetings in Asheville this week have been elected first vice-pres ident of their respective organi zations. County Attorney George Levings of Hillsboro is the new second in command for the N. C. Association of County Attorneys, and Orange County Administra tor (and Accountant) Sam Gattis was named to a similar post for the Association of County Ac countants. £■ THE DIABOLICAL GENIUSES at Station WCHL who dreamed up the poetic clues for their cur rent Hideaway House contest ad mitted yesterday that they weren’t altogether surprised that the 11 days to date had not ' turned up a winner. Henceforth, they admitted, the clues will like ly become more localized. They write ’em up about five at a time, so some of the present clues weren’t even cooked up when the contest began. The contest has had its quirks: Some household ers have received cards daily, and some contestants have automati cally assumed they were the win ners—and were indignant to find out their deduction was faulty.
