around Chapel Hill by realtors
A new classification of com
mercial zone—“highway commer
cial”—was proposed by a com
mittee of the Chapel Hill Board
of Realtors in a meeting held
(Monday night between realtor
representatives, the District Plan
ning Board, and the Chapel Hill
aldermen.. .
E. J. Owens, President of the
Board of Realtors, presented the
proposed new zone as the con
census of an informal committee
of the realtors, representative of
about half that Board’s member
ship. “Highway commercial”
would be more restrictive than
the existing suburban commercial
