Snipes, 83 passes at home Alfred James Snipes, 83, of | Hillsborough died at his home j Monday after several days of crib leal illness. He was a native of Orange . ■ ' County and a member of .Hills borough Hirst fiaptist Church, having been a lifelong- member of the board of deacons. He was a former member of the Hills borough Board of Commissioners. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Olivia Lloyd Snipes; one daugh ter, Mrs. Alpha Snipes Blake Qf Hillsborough; three sons, Edgar W. Snipes of Knoxville, Tenn., Alfred Snipes Jr. of Hillsborough and Jade L. Snipes of Richmond. Va.; two brothers, W. Manley and —James M. Snipes, both of Route Three, Hillsborough; and eight - grandchildren, —- - " IFrineral services were held af Walker’s Funeral Home Wednes day at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. A K. Cheek and the Rev.
