He was born in Yadkin County to Henry and Elizabeth Evans Brown. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mae Summers Brown; a daughter. Mrs. Joe H, Hoover of Mocksville, Rt. 5; three sisters, Mrs. Ock Finney of Jonesville, Rt 1, Mrs. Robert Mosteller of Boonville, Rt. 2. and Mrs. Hettie Bowles of Winston-Salem. Rt. 1; a half sister. Mrs. Wynt Shores of Clyde; and a half brother, Isom Brown cf Clyde. The funeral was at 2 P.M. Monday at Eaton's Funeral Home. Burial was in Oak Grove Methodist cemetery. Final Rites For Mrs. Ellen Doby Brinegar Mrs. Ellen Dcby Brinegar, age 77, died Friday Morning at 5:55 A. M. at the Rowan Hospital, Salisbury. She had been in declining health 6 months and seriously ill 2 weeks. She lived alone at 15 Da vie St. Cooleemee. She was a retired employee of Erwin Mills and had been retired 10 years. She was born in Newbury, South Carolina August 7, 1888. Her parents were Mr. Wil liam T. and Mrs. Alice Doby. She was a member of Coo leemee Presbyterian Church. CARELESS HUSBAND Woman: My husband is so careless of his appearance. He just can't seem to keep buttons on his clothes. Neighbor: Are you sure it's carelessness?
