The Investigatorship prog ram, which provides SIMOO a year to a Senior Research Investigator at each of three medical schools in the state, will coat the North Carolina Heart Association $360,000 during the ten years, accord ing to Dr. Daniel . Young, of Chapel HID, State Heart Association president. The purpose of the Investi gatorahip program is to pro vide continuing support for qualified investigators in the broad fields cf cardiovascu lar physiology or disease in order to strengthen research and trwrhlnf in these fields at the three medical schools. Recipients of the Investiga torahip awards are selected by the deans of the medi cal schools and approved by the state heart group's board of directors.
