The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin
Roscoe Withers Of 70# Vtd
kin Aveue, Spencer. She is
a graduate of North RoWan
High School where she was
the first president of the
student body association. She
is also a graduate of the Ro-
wan Memorial Hospital
School Of Nwsihg. She re
ceived her nurse's registra
tion in the fall 1962 at
which she made the
highest score in North Caro
lina on the state boards. She
has worked as a staff nurse
at the Methodist Hospital,
Houston, Texas. She is pres
ently employed as a head
nurse at the Rowan Memorial
Hospital.
The bridegroom is the son of
Mrs. Robert Lee Smith of
Route 1, Woodleaf, and the
late Mr. Smith. He received
an AB degree in speech from
Pfeiffer College. He also stu
died at the University of N.
C. Where he was active in
the Carolina Playmakers. He
has done graduate work in
drama and speech at the Uni
versity of North Carolina at
Greensboro this fall. He is a
jnember of Alpha Psi One
ga, tin honorary dramatic fra
ternity and is mtisic direbtor
