THIRD ANNUAL HOMECOMING AT CHURCH OF GOOD SHEPHERD —Picured above is a portion of those who attended the Home
coming at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church on Sunday. May 22. The Hofy Communion was celebrated by The Rev. Peter Chase Rob
inson, who also delivered the sermon. Homecoming, 1966, was a time for renewing old friendships, and for forming new ones, as young
and old «Hto» enjoyed a return to the {dace that they appreciate the most in this community. In its solid, quiet, dignified way Good
Shepherd Church has made its witness to the Gospel since its founding in 1901, on its present site.
Some of the things about the church which are new since the last Homecoming are: the Flags were dedicated this past year; the
Cross over the Baptismal Fount is the original Processional Cross at Good Shepherd, the Chimes have been repaired and are in
working order; the Brick on the Church has been waterproofed and the woodwork painted, the Equipment in the J*arish House Is from
the Cooleemee Kindergarten and is used for our Church School; and the Church women have set up a building fund. .
