"MffiS MARY'S" VILLAGE OF YESTERDAY—UnIess you know some of these sincere folk, personally, you wouldn't believe that the people of an attraction at the North Carolina State Fair open its daily operation with a prayer service. Yet, since the Old Village was started in 1951, its founder, Miss Mary Cornwell, has led the exhibitors in a special daily devotional each morning prior to the ten o'clock opening of the Village. October 10-15 will be the 21st annual presentation of the marvelous displays of handicraft under the di rection of Miss Cornwell, who has been largely responsible for the iv birih of the craft industries in the State's western counties.
