The Sisters of Mrs. Crawford assisted with the reception. The home was beautifully decorated with yellow chry santhemums, carnations, roses and contrasting snap-dragons. The guests were welcomed by Mrs. Andy Price of Char lotte, who directed them to the guest register which was in charge of Mrs. Carl Deal of Woodleaf and Mrs. Phil lip Clement of Raleigh. This register has a sentimental va lue to Mr. and Mrs. Craw ford, because it was used at their wedding fifty years ago. In the receiving line were Mr. and Mrs. Crawford, Mari ola, Mr. and Mrs. Giles My Bids Accepted For Davie High School M.OCKSVILLE - Bids were accepted Tuesday by the Da vie County Board of Educa tion for construction at Davie County High School. Low bids totaled $22,455.22. Four classrooms « three sci ence rooms and one art room —and a vocational complex that will include two shops and a classroom will be built. Wagoner Construction Co. of Salisbury was low bidder for the general contract at $164,300. There were nine bids Buchanan Plumbing and Heating Co., Inc. of High Point submitted the low bid of $29,270 on heating. Cohen Plumbing and Heating Co., of Salisbury submitted the low bid o>f SII,BOO for plumbing. Sigmon Electric Co. of States ville submitted the low bid of $21,648 for the electrical work. "The low bids were accept ed by the Davie County Board of Eductaion subject to the approval of the State Board of Education at their meet ing on Dec. 1," said Supt. James E. Everidge. The lovely floral ar rangement on the table was from Mrs. Crawford's Sun day School Class, the arrange ment was flanked by tall brass candle sticks which have been in Mrs. Crawford's fami ly for four generations, these candles were also used at their wedding. A three tiered wedding cake topped with golden bells and the gold figure 50 graced the BIRTHS Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Har ris of Route 2, Advance, an nounce the birth of their sec ond daughter, Renee Carol on November 21, at Davie Coun ty Hospital. Her weight was 6 lbs. 11 ounces. Their other daughter is Susan Dawn, 20 months old. Mrs. H. W. Shoaf of Spencer is the maternal grandmother, and Mr. and Mrs. George Harris of Route 4, Mockville are the paternal grandparents. Great - grand parents are Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Harris of Route 4, Mocks ville. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Spry of Taylorsville, North Caro lina announce the birth of twins on Monday, at 8:05 P.M. November 26, at Davis Hospi tal in Statesville. The son was named Jeffrey Allen and weighed 8 lbs. 13 oz., and the daughter, Kelly Elizabeth weighed 6 lbs. 11 ozs. Mrs. Spry is the former Linda Templeton of Salisbu ry. The maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Leßoy Tem pleton of Salisbury. Mr. and Mrs. Grady Spry, Sr. of Cooleemee are the pa ternal grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. James Barber and sons of Columbia, South Carolina spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Barber. I end of the table.
