She attends Central State Beauty College in Salisbury and will be employed after January 1 at Mae's Beauty Salon Mr. Jordan is the sum of Mr, and Mrs. Jaws Adam Jordan at Cooieemee. A grad uate of Dav* County High School, he works at Fiber In iustraes of Salisbury. Given in marriage by her brother, Glenn Edwin Seaford the fcride wore a gown of crepe and Aleneon lace. She also wore a mantilla and car ded rosebuds on a Bible. Mrs. Jobn Seaford of States ville was natron of bonar. Bridesmaids were Moss Fran ces Webb and Miss Pan Jor ian, ttoe bridegrooms' sister, bxh of CooJeemee; and Miss Barbara Keller. Lu Ana Lakey was flower girl Mr. Jordan was hts son's best man. The Rev. Fred Barnes officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Dorothy Lakey Crea son of Mocksville and Thomas Eugene C reason of Cooleemee. She attended Appalachian State Teachers College and is employed as a teacher's aide in Davie County. Pvt, Roberson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Holland Chaffin, at tended Gaston Technical In stitute. He is stationed with the Army at Ft. Devens, Mass. The bride was escorted by her brother, Dwight Thomas . Mrs. Marcus Angell and Miss Claudia Tutterow. James Roberson was his brother's best man. Ushers were Johnny Roberson, the bridegroom's brother; Bill Cranfill and Jimmy Fuller. The couple left for a trip. After January 2, Pvt. Moore will return to Ft Devens. ' Story Hour Children Enjoy Parties The entire enrollment of Story Hour children was pres. tat on Monday, the 19th. for the Christmas parties held at the Recreation Center Thirty two children in the Morning group and thirty-one in the afternoon group came filled with the Christmas spirit and had a wonderful time, as well as their leaders. Mrs. C. W. Shepherd and Mrs. Scott Jordan. Their room held a tall beau tifully lighted tree, a Manger scene and many other pretty decoration; . Santa Claus took time out bom his busy schedule to vi sit at each party. He gave the children candy or gum and left bags of fruit, candy and gum for them to take home They sang several songs for him, promised to leave him re freshments on Christmas Eve and wished him a very Mer ry Christinas as he was leav ing. ' The leaders gave each child a cute little golden boot to hang on their tree at home. They also received a toy to take home. At the afternoon party, Lynn Hodge brought cute lit tle stockings, which her Mo ther had made and stuffed with candy, for each child.
