The sightseeing tours included the world famous Disneyland and exciting Reno, Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Boyce and family have moved from Diuid Hill, to 315 West Camb ridge Avenue, Greenwood, S. C. Mrs. Lila Gibbons of New port News, Va. arrived here Sunday to spend a week vi siting her sisters, Mrs. Dewey Couch and Mrs. Edd Carter, and the Gibbons family in Woodleaf. Mrs. Lola Scott left Fri day to visit relatives in Win ston-Salem. Mr. and Mrs. James Ijames and children, Debbie, Faye and Johnny of Clyde, N. C. spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edd Carter, they also attended the Ijames Fathers Day dinner at Pine Ridge. Mrs. Karleen Ladieu of Ft. Benning. Ga. has been visiting her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Bry an Sell of Mocksville, while her husband. Pfc. John Ladieu has been on tour with the U. S. Army. Mr. and Mrs. Billy Sell and children and Mr. and Mrs. v\4 of. Mocksville will leave on Sun day to vacation a week at Myrtle Beach, S. C. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Marsh and children and Miss Nelda Chunn of Salisbury were din ner guests of Mrs. Grace Wooten Tuesday evening. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Grady Spry over the weekend in celebration of Father's Day were Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Spry and twin sons of Taylorsville, Doyle Spry and daughters, Kathy and Lillian Louise, Mrs. Dolly Swaim, and daughter, Mary Elizabeth, and Jerry Spry of Carrboro. Kathy Spry stayed to spend a week, and Mary Elizabeth was home for a few days from Kings Busi ness College in Charlotte. Mrs. Charles Spake and daughter, Melanie Jayne, will arrive here from Decatur, Ga. on Thursday night to spend some time with her mother, Mrs. Lessie Blackville and ot her relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Will My rick of Milford Hills, Salisbury, and Miss Laura Hellard, Mrs. Anna Painter, and Miss Betty Or render of Cooleemee spent Sunday in Greensboro visiting Mr. and Mrs. Mack Painter. Mrs. Judy Pence Allen and baby and Mrs. Robert Hellard were involved in a car ac cident Wednesday night near Statesville. Mrs. Allen and baby were released from the hospital, but Mrs. Hellard is still at Davie Hospital for X-ray and treatment. Earl Stewart was carried to Rowan Hospital early on Thursday morning after sud denly becoming ill. He is un dergoing treatment and obser vation. Mrs. Margaret Brinegar went to Raleigh Tuesday to bring home her daughter. Miss Susan Brinegar, who had been there for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Franklin My ers and family, who live at North Cooleemee, will move late in July near Sheffield, ~ £ r flarnY and Pierce Marriage - ~ Miss Marilyn Carol Harris and Richard Eugene Pierce were married Saturday June 17, at 2:00 P. M. in Bear Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Paul Moore officiated at the double ring ceremony. Mrs. Pierce is the daughter of Mr, and Mrt. D. A. Harris of Mocksville, Route 2 and is a graduate of Davie County High School. Mr. Pierce is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Pierce of Watt Street, Cooleemee. He where he will become pastor of Ijames Cross Roads Bap tist Church. Mrs. Lola Spry returned home Wednesday after spend ing some time in North Aug usta, South Carolina. She went especially to attend the grad uation of her grandson.
