Easy terms arranged FARMER'S HARDWARE & SUPPLY CO. Mocksville, N. C. of 60 million persons a year. The world population of three billion is expected to soar to seven billion by the end of the century. It is evident this will mean that some sec tions of our country will be unusually crowded. What will the Baptists do about these crowded populat ed areas? When Jesus was on earth, when He saw the mul titude of people, He was mov ed with compassion. Jesufc' concern for individual needf bfoujht forth the request for ha disciples to pray for ad ditional laborers for this great field. Although, Jesus lived in the midst of crowds, He never lost , of the individual. Once . when He was in a crowd, He I paused for He had felt that | someone had touched Him. On I the cross. He even had com passion for one who asked for help. These crowds gave Jesus an urgency to reach as ma ny persons as possible. The crowds grew so great and the needs so many, He moved from city to city. Mrs. Smith brought out that as Christians, we must not lose sight of the needs around us. Many people are lonely and borne down with life's cares and pressures. Only a few enter church doors for help and guidance. The task is ours as Christians, we need to be Christians with warm hearts and a desire to help in this world crisis. Mrs. Smith asked, "Could this be our small community?" She pointed out that there are more than eight thousand unchurched communities in j our nation. Those who are Christians must be the church at work wherever there are peopie. Mrs. Smith made a progress ] report of what the Baptist ] Home Missions Board had , done. She said the Board has , helped to contribute over four- teen thousand churches or , more than one third of all the ( churches in the convention, and stands ready to assist in every possible and feasibie ( manner in the great opportu- ' nities for spreading the gos- 1 pel in our land. All were chal- ' lenged to give, pray, and 1 work. To be concerned over the great crisis that now exists. (By Mrs. Grace P. Wooton, Sec.-General W. M. U. Then sing this to the tune of I walk Alone. 1 WALK ALONE" I walk alone, because to tell you the truth I have 8.0. I don't mind having 8.0. when my nose tells me you have 8.0. too. I walk alone, they ask me why and I tell them I'd rather, 'cause my soap just won't lather. Soap I bought at the store, a soap called Pore. I'll always be near you, the odor's so strong, each day in every breeze. If you sniff, you'll smell me no matter how far. Just breathe real deep and I'll be there. Please walk alone and send your fumes and your odors to guide me. And I'll rush up beside thee We'll walk alone, together.
